**About us**

Age UK West Cumbria is a local independent charitable company. We raise all our own funds through our 6 local charity shops, a one stop equipment shop to support independent living, contracts and grants to deliver particular services, donations and a range of fundraising activities. All monies are used locally to improve the lives of older people in Allerdale and Copeland.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. As a Handy Man, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for our 6 charity shops and 2 office buildings. This is an unpaid position. Working times and days are flexible, to suit you

You will need your own transport. Mileage and car parking expenses will be reinbursed monthly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Report all deflect equipment.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
- Follow risk assessments.
- General building maintenance.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
- Solid knowledge of general maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, etc.
- Excellent time management.
- Good communication skills to interact with team and customers
