Community mental health services in North Lincolnshire have recently benefitted from over £1m investment. This will see specialist mental health services transform over the next two years with improved connections with other healthcare agencies in the area. This development forms part of our wider plan to transform mental health services which has already seen the introduction of a new primary care mental health service, has established a 24/7 acute liaison services, and improved crisis services.

The role will provide clinical leadership within secondary mental health services based within the Recovery Focussed Team. The role will offer expertise in networking and navigation to promote ease of access to a range of specialist mental health support services. The role will also provide clinical leadership to support the transformation project within the Community Mental Health Services, working in conjunction with the Transformation Clinical Lead, Service Manager, Clinical Psychology Lead and the Community Mental Health Teams to deliver on the Transformation programme and continue to implement new ways of working. The post holder will also supervise the Mental health Wellbeing Practitioners & Trainees.

To participate as a senior clinician, in the development of a high quality, responsive and accessible service, including advising both service and professional management on those aspects of the service where psychological and /or organisational matters need addressing.

To work as an autonomous clinician providing Specialist Psychotherapeutic assessments, Case management and treatment to adults with a range of psychological and emotional disorders within secondary mental health services.

To act as a clinical expert in the field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), providing consultation and education to within the community teams.

To provide Clinical Supervision and support to colleagues delivering CBT, Including trainee’s and MHWP (Mental Health Well-being Practitioners).

To provide clinical leadership of the secondary mental health services and to support Transformation, clinical pathway and service development.

To provide expert clinical advice and guidance for all staff within secondary mental health services

To complete and devise internal pathways and processes within each locality in accordance with the long-term plans of the service

To develop evaluations in relation to clinical interventions with service users, carers and staff using focus groups to further develop clinical
