I’m working alongside a leading Canadian testing, inspection, and certification engineering consultancy with over 100 years’ experience. Global leaders who focus on quality, technical excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
Now looking to hire a Senior Accountant with experience in SAP to cover their European entities. Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer based in Canada.
**Your Aim: You will oversee and monitor all accounting processes for two European and one UK entity.**
**Your Role**:
- Utilise SAP to validate and amend all project expenditure
- Develop and produce all accounting reports used by our Senior Leadership Team
- Report Management information to Leadership and Stakeholders that might impact business decisions
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts
- Analyse project costs and analyse success
- Ensure the accuracy of project plans and data
- Analysis and explanation of actuals, forecasts, and plans
- Working with local German and Danish accounting/Tax firms to handle the timely submission of financial statements
- Develop strategies to minimise financial risk
- Process cost accruals
- Coordinate year-end audit
**About you**:
- ACA qualified
- Working understanding of SAP
- Experienced in Engineering Projects from conception to completion
- Happy to work on multiple projects at one time (10-12)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on/ stand-alone role
- Able to work internationally with ease
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Accurate with high attention to detail you bring expertise and focus
- Naturally risk averse, you’re cautious and detail oriented when implementing new strategies.
- Credible and confident when interacting with senior stakeholders and Leadership
