**Job Title: Lead Business Analyst**
**Duration: 6 months, extensions likely**
**Location: WHF / Edinburgh**
**Salary: £500 - £600 per day via Umbrella**
We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients based in Edinburgh. They are currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join Pensions Core Lab on a 6-month contract based from home, with two days per week requirement in the Edinburghoffice.
**About the Role**:
Pensions Core work towards delivering LRM projects, on time, on budget and within the Regulators expectations.
We coordinate complex business unit-wide legal, regulatory, and critical improvements that need to be aligned, especially across our current Pension & Longstanding products, to ensure that customers are kept safe and informed, and no breaches are logged, orfines received by IP&I.
We understand policy, shape solutions, and engage directly with 3rd parties to deliver improvements where it doesn't make senses to hand off to the other Platform(s).
**Core purpose of the role**
- Support the Product Owner and Project Manager to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. To translate business needs into project objectives, features and requirements. Providingchallenge, conflict resolution, validation and proposed solutions as appropriate.
- Support the team with testing preparation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need and be accountable for defining acceptance criteria that fulfil the team's definition of "Done".

**What are we looking for?**
An experienced BA with an excellent track record in a delivery focused role. Someone who is a dynamic and adaptable self-starter, who will be responsible for identifying the business needs, shaping initiatives and analysing requirements, as well as supportingthe testing and implementation of agreed solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to interpret the data and analysis requirements from a deep understandingof the business context
A great communicator, capable of delivering clear messages to a variety of stakeholders and teams providing clear understanding for colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
Supporting both our Business and Engineering colleagues as well as the Product Owner to ensure Labs and Teams make the right choices in the changes they deliver, designing the right business solution with a focus on the items of value to the customer and thebusiness.
With exposure to systems thinking, business architecture, FastPath and/or Waterfall delivery, help to define scope and elicit requirements, challenge business stakeholders to drive out the real business outcomes that are required to realise the customer andbusiness propositions; not simply recording requirements.
You will form part of a wider analysis community and will support through coaching, mentoring and inspiring other analysts within your local team and across IP&I.
