Our client a well-respected and reputable professional membership body is currently looking for a Campaigns Adviser

**The Role of Campaigns Adviser**

To develop and lead political engagement campaigns to promote institute policy work and secure policy change across England at a national and local level

**Main Responsibilities**

Responsible for developing and delivering politically focused communications campaigns and awareness raising activity in support of key institute policy objectives

Work with the policy and public affairs to target and plan engagement with MPs, civil servants and politicians that helps the promote the political and policy objectives of the institute

Organise events including roundtables

Support regional policy work including the production of campaign materials and templates for institute local and regional use

Work with other members of the policy and practice teams to produce briefings for debates, events and political activities

Work closely with the institute communications team to produce targeted content including blogs, social media posts and media opportunities to support institute policy work

Role model the institute values

Take on any other work, as directed by your line manager

**Person Specification**

Political or policy campaign experience

Strong written and spoken communication skills

Good influencing and negotiation skills

A good understanding of policy processes and how bodies like the institute can influence the policy making process will be essential for success in this role

Good experience of working with the media, and knowledge of central and local Government structures

Strong organisational skills

Ability to manage and prioritise own work and work under direction from other members of the team as appropriate

Experience in policy an advantage
