INTERIM FINANCE MANAGER - Up to £250/day - Interim/Temp to Perm - Hybrid Working
**Your new company**
The Client is a tech start-up based in Cardiff and have experience exponential growth over the last year and a half. In 18 months they were a team around 15 people and are now 55 staff having had a successful fundraiser accumulating circa £30 million
You will be reporting to the Head of Finance, with responsibility for the transactional integrity of accounts, this is the bedrock of financial data that helps ensure the company to continue its growth path. This will involve managing one direct report.
The Client is looking for an organised self-starter, with great communication skills which you'll use to support the company's success with your financial skills They are an ambitious team with huge aspirations so you'll be expected to get stuck in and beable to make a difference. This is a hands-on role assisting a company progressing on a significant growth curve.
**Your new role**
- Managing payroll and bookkeeping on Xero software
- Oversee and control of invoicing (mainly US $) and credit control.
- Oversee and participate in posting of monthly journals, deferred income, accruals, and prepayments to take accounts to trial balance stage.
- Producing monthly management accounts, no later than 7 working days after the end of the month providing full and accurate information relative to performance versus budget/forecast.
- Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting and implementing improvements as needed
- Accurately reflecting Company revenues in the distinct categories, Annual Recurring Revenues (ARR) and Monthly Recurring Revenues (MRR)
- Leading statutory reporting tasks such as the quarterly VAT returns etc
- Providing an internal financial service to internal stakeholders as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Payroll processing and HMRC requirements
- A multi-currency/ international trade environment and dealing with FX
- Advanced Excel skills

Additional requirements:

- Strong knowledge and experience in the use of Xero and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with the accounting treatment applied to Saas (software as a service), deferred income, income recognition, MRR and ARR
- Excellent attention to detail and present work to a high standard.
- An organised person, great at keeping on top of things.
- Good communicator with good negotiation skills
- A confident person able to engage with people at all levels of an organisation.
- Someone with a positive can-do attitude
- A team player who can roll up their sleeves when needed to support others working towards a common goal

**What you'll get in return**
This is an immediate start contract with likelihood to go permanent with a competitive rate of circa £260 per day (dependent on experience).
