As the Superintendent managing our Ultrasound service you will play a crucial role in leading the service, working with and alongside direct team members including Consultant Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, Governance and Radiography Education leads. You will also work closely with the Imaging Senior Management Team and Clinical Director of Imaging to ensure efficient and effective operational management and delivery of the current service and planning for future services.

Responsible for the leadership, management and operational effectiveness of the Ultrasound service for the Imaging Directorate.

The post holder will demonstrate significant clinical experience in Non-Obstetric Ultrasound scanning and is accountable for:

- Management of the Ultrasound staff and resources
- Management of the waiting list and in-patient services
- Managing the recording of data to enable effective audit and monitoring of the operational effectiveness of the service
- Management of the quality and safety of the service and providing a governance framework to monitor this
- Financial management of the Ultrasound service budget.
