As part of our vision to transform housing services the Housing Needs & Homelessness Service has recently been redesigned. This is a crucial role working in our hostels team to ensure that our hostels are maintained to a compliant standard. The role also requires attending our residents’ homes to complete minor repairs.

**About the role**:

- To complete minor repairs and works to common areas and voids of our hostels
- Carry out internal inspections of communal areas within hostels
- To ensure that all chutes are kept clear, and blockages are cleared promptly
- Keep all internal areas free from graffiti by either removing or reporting to the repairs contractor.
- Carry out weekly inspections of lights/lamps and replace as required.

**About you**
- Experience of working with the public in a service delivery environment
- Experience of carrying out basic painting tasks.
- Experience of basic carpentry e.g. repairing wardrobes
- Basic plumbing experience e.g unblocking sink blockages
