The role will involve:

- Supporting students with additional needs within the classroom as well as around the school site.
- Ensuring that students are behaving in the expected manner as well as making sure that they feel comfortable within the classroom.
- Working on an intervention basis, looking to actively enhance and develop academic attainment.
- Providing class teachers with support through helping create material to be directly utilised by learners.
- Implementing techniques to improve overall engagement, ensuring school policies are adhered to at all times.

It is hoped that the applicant will be able to provide students with pastoral support. This extends to the schools ‘looked after children’ who may live in residential care. Naturally, these students will require a nurturing approach owing to the difficultcircumstances that they have dealt with during their young years. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to work with children who have recently moved to the UK and require support in developing both their conversational and written ability within English.

Located close to the areas of Hyde and Denton, the school is well regarded locally. The applicant will receive full training, and will be able to work across all years (7 - 11)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
