Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are working with a leading partner in the engineering and manufacturing market, based in Burnley, in the search for an experienced Commodity Buyer.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing requisitions, sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders in support of business requirements
- Support the Supply Chain Manager/Procurement Manager in the successful delivery of frameworks, Trading Agreements and Cost Saving Initiatives
- Conducting and reporting of key supplier meetings
- Mentoring and assisting Assistant Buyers to promote development
- Strategic account management of key suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills and proven purchasing experience
- Good communication and computer skills are essential
- The ability to act pro-actively and develop effective delegation skills
- Effective professional, motivation, co-ordinating and organisational skills
