Location - Durham

We are seeking a graduate proofread and editor to join our global team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of the content associated with client’s bids are nothing short of exceptional whilst also working closely with our team of writers in areas of enhancing their sentence structure and grammar. The content you will read and edit daily is vast as we work across a lot of different sectors, and across 42 countries.

Our global bid team consists of 24 writers and is growing monthly as we expand across the UK and America.

You will be responsible for reading and correcting large chunks of content, carrying out quality reviews against the English language, and always promote best practice. This is a high-pressure role, as bid deadlines must be achieved and it requires someone who can remain calm in sometimes challenging but friendly environments.

You do not need specific sector knowledge, but what you do need is a deep understanding of the English language, and how to work with varied stakeholders, whilst also giving them confidence in your process and ability.

**Duties**:

- Reading large specifications to ensure the content you read, matches the buyers’ requirements.
- Developing bid plans / writing plans that are used both internally and externally.
- Writing and editing content.
- Proofreading
- Provide feedback to the directors on content quality.
- Articulate ideas professionally.
- Project manage your own schedule to ensure deadlines are achieved.

To be successful in this role you must:

- A Master’s degree in English or similar.
- Have confidence in your own ability.
- Understand the importance of team work to achieve deadlines.
- Ability to work with large documents.
- Enjoy working in a busy team with changing priorities.
- Have strong communication skills. Both written and verbal.
- Understand the importance of all teams within an organisation and be a companywide team player.
- As you will report directly into the Global CEO, you must be always confident and highly professional.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
