We are recruiting an Experienced Animal Technician to join our client based in Exeter. Our client is the fastest growing UK Research facility with some of the world’s most influential scientists. They are rapidly expanding centre of international excellent research.

As an Experienced Animal Technician, you will be responsible for daily husbandry tasks and general animal welfare within our client’s facilities. You will be responsible for the welfare of the animals and have the motivation to progress in your career and gain your Home Office License.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing food and water for the animals
- Making sure the animals have all the enrichments they need
- Carrying out daily tasks/check-ups, such as, temperature monitoring and general welfare check-ups
- Performing procedural tasks if you have a home office license
- Reporting and resolution of any impact on the health of the animals
- General upkeep of the facilities

Job Requirements:

- Previous Animal Technician experience
- Be willing to gain your Home Office License
- The ability to learn and the capability to further develop your skills in animal husbandry and care
- Previously worked in an animal facility
- IAT Level 2
- Participate in the rota to cover weekends, minimum service days and bank holidays as required. Participating in an out of hours on call rota

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
