Proposal Writer

As a Bids & Content Writer you will be working with the bid team and other internal stakeholders to produce high-quality written content for bids, tenders, proposals and other supporting materials.

KEY TASKS
The Bid and Content Writer will support the team and the Bid and Content Manager to:

- Re-write / edit bid responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, finance, commercial, legal, service delivery and IT
- Manage the bid process for certain opportunities where required
- Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way to meet / exceed the client’s requirements
- Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid and Content Manager against agreed deadlines, escalating issues, as required
- Participate in storyboard sessions with bid / proposal team members
- Undertake market research for the kick-off and solution meetings
- Assist the Bid and Content Manager in developing bid/proposal structures
- Support the sales teams with presentation and proposal content
- Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
- Present and tag new proposal content for potential re-use
- Develop and maintain a library of exemplar answers
- Manage the administration of the bid function, including the logging and appropriate communication of all in bound opportunities
- Collation of regular bid Management Information for distribution to senior management

Essential
- Highly motivated to support the Bid Management Team
- Hard working with an excellent work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Excellent written English for tender, proposal and other related content
- Communicate effectively with other stakeholders in the business
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear understanding of bid processes, drivers, and challenges
- Excellent time management / prioritisation skills
- Forensic attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills

Desirable
- Experience of the Records Management services

OTHER INFORMATION
- Site-based, but working from home will be permitted
- Travel will be required to other company sites
- May be required to stay away from home from time-to-time
- Working hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am - 5pm
