**Job Role**

The person will be involved but not limited to the following activities:

- Ensuring that all supplier deliveries are checked upon arrival, and duly signed as fully received; check that clear notations are made on the delivery notes in respect of any discrepancy
- Store all Inbound stock properly and in a timely manner
- Pick and make ready all stock for our drivers’ daily routes
- Check off all outbound orders against the scheduled dispatch route lists and highlight any inconsistencies
- Daily loading and unloading vehicles including waste with the drivers
- Ensure that all storage areas are clean, locked, and secure to comply with a working Waste Transfer Station
- Ensure a professional approach is always delivered when dealing with all clients and colleagues
- Liaise regularly with colleagues, managers and directors to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to the customers at all times
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence
- Weekly inspections of stock and weekly stock and racking checks
- Identifying any issues and areas for improvement
- Carry out vehicle inspection on stock on company vans
- Using the computer system to update stock, despatch orders and print paperwork. Therefore, confidence in using a computer and learning new systems is essential.
- Liaising with the customer service teams for orders and the finance team when relevant stock paperwork is required
- Working with the Operations and Compliance officer to ensure actions from the warehouse maintenance and inspections log are resolved in a timely manner
- Sourcing contractors and being their first point of contact (i.e. pest control)
- Greeting visitors on site and ensuring they complete the hygiene check form and visitor sign-in forms
- To work effectively and safely in line with all H&S requirements.
- This is a fast-moving environment, all team members must work whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with the hygiene regulations at all times.

A driving license is essential as there may be occasional deliveries to site or assisting the field teams when needed and there may be occasional overtime if required. There will be lifting and carrying involved in this role so you will need to be fit and healthy, but your experience and skills will be more crucial.
