Yard Supervisor

**Yard Supervisor - Burnley**

**Salary - £25,455 - £27,500 per annum**

**40 hours per week plus overtime as required.**

Joining the business as a Site Supervisor you will be given responsibility to help the management team to continue to drive performance through relationships as well as people management of a small but dedicated team of drivers. You will work with the Site Manager to achieve business goals whilst maintaining a strong focus on health and safety within the workplace.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing yard-based operations, maintaining stocks and organising the yard. Included in the role is the need to support the day-to-day aspects and administrative tasks within the office, ensuring inputs are progressed accurately within requisite time scales, and covering the Site Manager during absences.

**The Role**
- Supporting our Safety Management System to meet compliance and driving a safety culture at the Depot
- Professional approach to drive effective team working
- Handling of LPG Cylinders
- Supervision of and assisting of Cylinder Vehicle loading operations
- Act as Emergency controller (after training)
- General day to day office duties
- Forklift and yard duties, to serve customers and maintain the yard to a set standard
- Updating daily delivery runs
- Serving walk-in customers
- Answer the telephone and dealing with all enquiries (internal departments & external customers)
- Processing customer orders within company SLA’s.

**About You**
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
- Be prepared to work flexibly to accommodate seasonal influences (earlier start/ later finish) at short notice
- Hold a full driving licence
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy cylinders
- Have experience of working with customers, be committed to providing excellent customer service and resolving issues that may arise
- IT Literate
- Fork Lift Licence (Desirable)
