Despatch Operative

**Job Title: Warehouse/Despatch Operative**

My client are a very well established Lighting provider, who specialise in providing specialist lighting equipment to a range of well-known companies within the music, sporting, television and movie sectors and have worked on large scale projects such asThe London Olympics, as well as some iconic, block buster movies. The company has a very fun, friendly feel and is a truly unique organisation to work for.

Due to business growth, they are looking to add a new member of staff to their Warehouse/Logistics team in order to support the supply chain, stock holding and logistics of equipment and stock supplies of electronic components. The role will require someonewho has good attention to detail and who is able to differentiate electronic components.

**Key Features of the role**:
Packing orders for Despatch (involves physical work and some manual handling)

Van driving (full UK licence required)

Kitting (can be trained if not experienced)

Reject Returns (can be trained)

Stocktake (can be trained)

Forklift driving (willing to be trained if not already qualified)

Ad-hoc production when required

**Targets**:

- Ensure orders are picked accurately and finished items/kits are prepared for despatch.
- Ensure adequate levels of stock and components to meet production and delivery demand

**Skills/Experience Required**:

- Previous Warehouse/Logistics/Stores experience (Minimum 1-2 year's - ideally within Despatch would be a distinct advantage);
- **MUST HAVE** a Full UK Driving Licence, with the ability and confidence to drive a Transit size van;
- Computer literate with basic skills in the use of Microsoft office;
- Accuracy and Attention to detail when executing tasks;
- Willing to be trained in the operation of a Forklift truck;
- Physically fit and able to carry out some manual handling responsibilities;
- Positive manner, flexible and willing to learn.
