Job Overview:
The Gallery Cafe in St Leonard's Church is at the heart of our community, offering a warm welcome to all. The cafe is staffed by volunteers, and we are seeking an efficient Administrator to keep the cafe running smoothly. **NB: we are also advertising for a Catering Supervisor, and these two posts could be combined to make one 14-hour+/week position.**

**Duties**:

- Coordinating the volunteer duty rota, ensuring that all shifts are covered
- Maintaining volunteer training records and arranging for training for new volunteers and top-up training for existing volunteers
- Paying volunteer expenses
- Organising regular volunteer meetings and attending as a note-taker
- Monitoring and reporting monthly expenditure
- Monitoring and reporting prices versus costs
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory and Environmental Health regulations
- Assisting with promoting the cafe both locally and more widely
- Dealing with enquiries for potential bookings
- Ordering catering supplies
- Assisting with organising special events.

Qualifications:

- Experience of working in an administrative capacity
- Good IT skills
- Excellent communication skills, including a high standard of written English

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to work harmoniously with our team of volunteers
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week

Work Location: In person
