**Post**: Receptionist / Facilities Assistant

**Reporting to**: Facilities Manager - UHB Facilities Limited

**Working Relationships**: To work with the Facilities team, Facilities Manager, patients, colleagues and visitors daily to ensure continuity of service and good communications and patient care is maintained.

**Location**: Smethwick Dialysis Unit

**Grade / Salary **Circa£22,816

**Role Summary**

Carry out and respond to a wide range of duties as requested from users of UHB Facilities Ltd. The role will also ensure UHB Facilities Ltd complies with all quality aspects required as set out in the Service Level Agreements with both providers and customers.

**Key Tasks**:
**Reception / Helpdesk / Out Patient Service**
- Provide front of house service, book patients in during clinic times and amend patient records, accordingly, using in house systems.
- Arrange patient transport where necessary.
- Carry out general admin duties and Finance as and when required.
- Booking and monitoring room bookings and ensuring daily room checks are made and relevant equipment available for the required room use.
- Liaise where necessary with the Facilities team and management team to escalate any issues or complaints.
- Manage stock control of stationery and monitor / replenish meeting rooms with beverage consumables when required.
- Opening and distributing of daily post and action as required.

**General**
- All staff to report an accident or incident in compliance with the company policy and procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- To attend mandatory training at times agreed by the Facilities Manager to comply with company policy.
- Participate when required in incident investigations.
- To undertake any additional training necessary for the role.
- All breaks to be taken as directed by the Facilities Coordinator and in line with the company policy.

**The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve UHB Facilities objectives.**

In the event of a flu pandemic or major incident, the post holder may be asked to undertake other duties not necessarily commensurate to the banding of this role. This could include duties in any facilities linked to UHB Facilities Ltd. Prior to undertaking any duties the member of staff will have full training and induction. No member of staff will be asked to undertake duties for which they are not competent or where they feel unsafe in their environment or could put patients or themselves at risk.

**No Smoking Policy**

The company has a no smoking policy. Staff are only permitted to smoke in designated smoking shelters. Members of staff must not smoke
