**How you'll help us make health happen**:
Reporting the Chief Commercial Actuary, you will lead both the Technical Pricing team and the Pricing Data Engineering team. To this end, a combination of excellent management skills and significant technical pricing knowledge will be key to success.

Key duties:

- Lead our Pricing Data team in the design, engineering, and development of the foundational data assets that underpin our pricing models.
- Support our data migration initiative moving our processes to modernised technologies. Ensure strong data governance standards are upheld across the department.
- Lead the Technical Pricing team in the development, monitoring and evolution of our statistical and machine-learning Pricing models to delivering the foundations of our pricing strategies.
- Work in partnership with our Financial Analysis teams to ensure emerging experience is understood and appropriate adjustments are promptly made to our models.
- Monitor and evaluate impact of new regulatory developments, ensuring our model suite remains compliant and supports the delivery of good outcomes for all of our customers.
- Be a thought leader for our Pricing Function - delivering direction for your teams as you mentor and develop their talents.

**Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role**:

- Senior Actuary (ideally qualified) - General Insurance or Health sector
- Extensive experience of Statistical & Machine learning model production and maintenance
- Experience with suitable statistical and analytical tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, Emblem, Radar and R, and cloud based technologies Azure Data Factory & Snowflake)
- Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills
