Your new company
Hays are proud to be representing with a local Building Surveying practice with an office close to the city centre who offer Building Surveying, cost consultancy and project management services across the UK. They are currently growing their team due to anupturn in business and as such are in a position to appoint a chartered building surveyor. They do not operate like the "corporate" organisations striving to perform a personal service and environment for their team. They are different to the usual types ofsurveying companies out there and as such have a very different outlook on how to do business and how to treat their staff.
Your new role
Working in a vibrant and new team you will build a close working relationship with your team and clients. You will have ambitions to bring new business to the practice, growing the team as well as the business. You will have a desire to grow your career andthe company, providing a collaborative approach to your work, placing the client at the heart of everything that you do. one of your main roles will be to provide technical building surveying advice, this will include:
- Contract Management
- Lease Dilapidation
- Party Walls
- Building Pathology
- Project management of small projects
You will work on a varied portfolio of projects with a range of clients including commercial, historical, retail, healthcare and residential.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified in building surveying or equivalent with MRICS status or on the way to become chartered with post graduate experience. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with your clients and co-workers.You will be providing mentorship and guidance to other members of the team.
