We are seeking a Payroll Assistant who is responsible for the preparation and submission of payroll. Your primary focus will be to maintain a paperless, automated clocking and payroll system that is quick, accurate and timely. In order to accomplish this you will be responsible for downloading & entering time sheets and data; identifying errors and discrepancies; entering starters and leavers; usual payroll data; and identifying wage variances. Sage payroll experience preferred but training will be given on various systems used

Responsibilities [not definitive]:

- weekly clocking summaries for weekly payrolls
- update holiday and absence software
- coordinate with other departments and depots within the organisation
- payroll projects and improvements
- willing to learn
- be a team player

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
