West Lodge Day Nursery is an established nursery in Desborough, set within the beautiful grounds of West Lodge Farm Park, we are committed to providing children with safe, stimulating and a secure environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our professional team.

We require a part-time cook to work 27.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday in our kitchen.

This position is to work the opposite shift to the other nursery cook on site. Shifts are 8am-1.30pm and 12.30pm-6pm. This position is for the 12.30-6pm shift
- As one of the Nursery Cooks you will be responsible for the preparing and cooking of delicious, nutritious nursery meals. Either - the nursery breakfast, snack and lunch or afternoon tea and snack.
- You will be catering for approximately 60 to 90 children each day whilst adhering to the required hygiene standards to meet our current 5
- Food Hygiene Rating.
- You will maintain a clean, hygienic work area and storage
- You will plan and order food in conjunction with nursery management, and head chef at West Lodge Farm Park within budgetary constraints
- You will be involved with the preparation of nursery menu cycle, in conjunction with nursery management
- You will have a solid knowledge of dietary needs including allergies and intolerances and how to work with these to ensure the safety of all children
- You will have an ability to prioritise effectively
- You will have a positive attitude and commitment to the role
- You will manage your time well to ensure that the meals are prepared on time for each stage of the day.
- You will complete daily records in line with health and safety requirements
- A food hygiene certificate is essential prior to starting work with us, training will be given if needed.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday 27.5 hours per week

**Salary**: £10.25-£12.00 per hour
