To provide a competent reception/clerical cover in the Women's Health Clinic.

To make appointments face to face with patients and over the telephone.

To carry out general admin duties

To work as team member

Demonstrate a sensitive and professional approach to all client groups

To make/amend appointments, allocating appointments according to clinical need and waiting time to meet departmental and national waiting list targets

To actively monitor RIS Orders and Work Lists to enable the timely booking of scans

To oversee admission/discharge/transfer of patients on Careflow

To provide a competent and efficient reception service to patients, visitors and colleagues

To handle any queries or telephone enquiries in an accurate and professional manner and to seek advice from clinical staff or team lead when required

To deal with patient notes and ensure they are kept safely, properly updated and the confidentiality of the information contained within is maintained

Manage own workload by prioritising tasks accordingly in order to meet waiting list targets and deadlines, acting upon own initiative and highlighting problems to Team Leader

Carry out general administration duties e.g. sort post, filing, photocopying etc

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
