**Positive Employment** is currently recruiting for a Joinery/Workshop Manager for our client based in Camden, North London area.

The successful post holder will be in charge of the day-to-day supervision and management of the Joinery/Welding Workshop, coordinating staff, ensuring correct processes and a safe work environment.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Overseeing all aspects of Health & Safety in the workshop
- Promoting best practice in health and safety for all personnel in the Joinery/ Welding Workshop.
- Ensure RAMS are understood and managed.
- Making sure all operatives working in Joinery/Welding Workshop are wearing correct PPE.
- Ensure all drawings that are required are received, chase up any that may be missing.
- Review and discuss Joinery drawings details with staff and other departments within the organisation.
- Where necessary, carry out site surveys and take site sizes.
- Able to read drawings and provide take off for ordering.
- Arrange deliveries of joinery materials.
- Be proactive to ensure materials are received in good time to avoid production waiting.
- Arrange annual service Woodworking/Welding machines and any repairs as when required.
- Manage Joinery/Welding team to ensure all members have work and if not arrange of have work.
- Use the most cost-efficient methods and control costs.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Excellent time keeping skills.
- Effective prioritization skills.
- Clear communication skills both orally and written.
- Must be able to motivate a team and lead by example.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- 5 Years of references.

**WORKING HOURS AND RATE**:

- Mon - Fri, 08:00pm - 16:30pm
- Rate: £33.04 P/H
