Are you dynamic and love a fast pace working environment.....An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmology department for a Telephonist/Receptionist. The post is for 37.5 hours and is to support a very busy department.

The post holder will be required to have an essential Customer Service/Call centre background.

They will also be required to provide high quality of booking and rearrange appointments over the telephone and will need to be flexible in their working.

Excellent accuracy, organisational, delegation and communication skills are essential for this post, liaising with both the general public and colleagues.

The successful applicant will be expected to organise their workload and co-ordinate their activities. The ability to work under pressure and to use one’s own initiative is also essential in this role. We are an extremely busy department within the hospital and the main first point of contact for our patients therefore, a courteous, helpful and positive telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential.

The post holder will be required to provide an efficient reception service, greeting patients, public and visitors and booking of appointments.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
