Permanent position. 25 hours per week

**Salary**: £21,311 to £21,982 per annum (Pro rata)

Compton Care has an exciting new opportunity for a Grounds Handy Person to join our Estates Team.

**Main purpose of the role**

The basic purpose of this post is to maintain all grounds and gardens along with a full maintenance program service as determined by your line management

The post-holder will be expected to work as an integrated member of the Estates Team. To participate as and when required in the provision of the requirements of the Estates department comprising of but not excluding, grounds and gardens maintenance along with day-to-day maintenance and reactive repairs including areas of statutory compliance e.g. water hygiene monitoring. The post holder will be guided by local and Trust policy and procedures. The post holder will frequently work without constant direct supervision. They will also be expected to undertake appropriate training including Health and Safety training.

**Requirements**:

- Basic H&S Training
- Horticultural knowledge gained through experience
- Ability to use varied range of horticultural tools both powered and non-powered.
- Work experience in similar environment
