To provide total midwifery care for both high and low risk women within all midwifery environments..

Providing the necessary supervision, care and advice to women during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period. Deliver care in a manner, which promotes a woman centred focus and supports thecontinuity of carer model.

To work and give support within the multi professional team to ensure women receive seamlessmaternity care.

To provide effective communication and liaison with other acute providers of maternity care, engagingwith other partners and members of the wider multidisciplinary team as appropriate.
