We are looking for you to be an experienced QHSE Officer, is able work and pace and be able to work effectively as part of the wider team.
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant QHSE standards
- Proficiency in use of QHSE systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Willing to be “hands on” working at all levels;
**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

The role of QHSE Officer, is to maintain and develop quality systems at Intertek Leicester to ensure compliance with laboratory accreditation (ISO 17025) and Approved Body status (ISO 17065) requirements in the fields of product testing & certification, including internal auditing, calibration of testing equipment, both internal and external, control of standards and the maintenance of manuals and all documentation.

Key Activities:

- To be the main UKAS point of contact at Intertek Leicester for all compliance and accreditation requirements, and to oversee and co-ordinate all UKAS audits, in particular, improvement actions and the resolution of non-compliance;
- To be a pro-active member of the Quality Systems team at Intertek Leicester and to work closely with all other members of the laboratory team maintaining good personal relationships at all times;
- To maintain and update the Quality Management Systems for testing and certification. Review any changes to the management system, industry standard procedures, documents pertinent to accreditation requirements and any client documents and specifications, and ensure that these are communicated to all relevant employees;
- Acting as primary internal quality auditor and if required nominate additional internal auditors who are independent of the specific activities being audited.
- Provide support to the operational units of the laboratory for calibration of equipment and servicing of equipment;
