_**We are the UK’s leading Role Play Attraction and**_ **are recruiting Hosts / Waiting Staff to welcome and play host to our guests who are enjoying a meal or snack in our onsite bistro. We are especially looking to recruit team members to work weekends on Saturdays, Sundays or both with opportunities to work from 6 hours to 9.5 hours each on Saturdays, Sundays or both.**

**Our typical shift patterns include 9am - 6.30pm for a full day and 10.30am - 6.30pm, 12pm - 6.30pm, 9.30 - 3pm for our shorter days.**

**There will also be opportunities for additional hours during school / university holidays and term time weekday if this suits the individual.**

**Our Pay Rates Range from £8.50 - £10.50 per hour dependent on age / experience.**
- We offer a hosted service to our guests and our hosts will play a key role in ensuring our guests are hosted, offered the warmest of welcomes, feel comfortable and looked after from the start to finish of their visit. Experience that has been gained from quality establishments would be an advantage. Our Venue is open 7 Days a Week and we can offer a variety of contracted hours during the weekend with shifts ranging from 4 hours to 9.5 hours per day between the hours of 9am and 6.30pm on either Saturdays, Sundays or both.

**Main Areas of Responsibility**:

- Responsible for taking customer food and beverage orders with friendly, personalised attention towards each customer.
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Responsible for processing payment and issuing change where appropriate.
- To prepare and serve hot and cold drinks and dispense food and snack display items.
- Ensure all Bistro, party and corporate food/catering is delivered safely and served professionally.
- Ensure that counters, fridges, display units and vending machines are adequately stocked/re-stocked and that all goods are within the sell by / best before date.
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- To routinely clean and sanitise work and service areas, utensils and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, ensuring a welcoming clean, safe and hygienic environment.
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service so that customer expectations are exceeded.
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and personal hygiene.

**Housekeeping and Safety**
- Ensure that appropriate food hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure that stock is appropriately displayed and rotated and that out of date or unfit stock is removed.
- Ensure that all front of house areas are routinely kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure that all tables are cleaned thoroughly and regularly throughout the day.
- Carry out regular checks of front of house equipment and premises to ensure they are safe and in good working order and report faults to the Front of House Catering Manager as required.

**Cleaning**
- Undertake all tasks as trained and directed so that high standards of health and safety and food hygiene are met.
- Washing up, manually and by machine as required to set standards.
- General cleaning and to follow the cleaning schedule as directed.
- Keep all areas clean and tidy including tables.

**Customer Care**
- Provide high standards of customer care, so that the reputation of The Children's Play Village is enhanced and sales targets achieved.
- Provide a high quality service at all times.
- Participate in staff training and support any Children's Play Village Initiatives.
- Assist visitors with queries in a prompt, professional, courteous and friendly manner, so that customer care standards are met and complaints kept to a minimum.
