We have an opportunity for a Hygiene Operative to join our Team at Kara Foodservice as part of Finsbury Food Group. Established in 1985, Kara offers a wide range of quality sweet and savoury bakery products, including both gourmet butter and vegan brioche buns, doughballs and teacakes. The Kara Bakery can bake over 1 million baps and burger buns every day.

The Hygiene Operative will work as part of Hygiene Teams to ensure that all machines, bakery, equipment and the actual building meet strict standards of hygiene at all times. In addition to the cleaning duties, a Hygiene Operative will be alsoresponsible for the accurate completion of all associated paperwork, ensuring that due diligence.

**This is what you’ll actually do**

As the In-Shift Hygiene Operative you will work with the other members of the team, to ensure the performance of your area meets the hygiene plan. Therefore, you will have strong communication skills and adequate social skills. You will also have a good work ethic, reliability and commitment to the company. As the Hygiene Operative you will be responsible for monitoring hygiene standards at your designated area, removing waste correctly and weighting it where required. This role will also involve safe operation of mechanical/electrical cleaning equipment, cleaning at heights and strip down of machinery when required completing the required. As the Hygiene Operative you will be also responsible for completing paperwork for your area to the correct standard and carrying out CCP checks. To be successful in this this role, you will have pride in your work and the ability to complete a task from start to finish.

**Ideally this is you**
- _Experience within a similar working environment, preferably in manufacturing_
- _Ability to follow instructions and work at the required high standard._
- _Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships._
- _Confidence to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels._
- _A positive and proactive approach with the drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment._
- _Ability to work alone and plan your work accordingly if and when required._
- _Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills are essential._
