Deputy Head Greenkeeper

**Chevin Golf Club** is situated in the Midlands in the county of Derbyshire. Chevin is particularly well known for its superb greens and well-manicured presentation and for many years been regarded as one of the premier courses in the region. The club’s long-established course of 18 holes (par-70, 6,062 yards) covers both parkland and moorland terrain with magnificent views. We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated

Pay**:From £30,000 per year** but would commensurate with experience and qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum of 4 years greenkeeping experience
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying licences
- Qualified to (or currently working towards) an NVQ Level 3 in Sports Turf Management
- Ability to organise routine golf course maintenance and golf course projects
- Demonstrate the passion, ability, and experience to inspire, motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- An ambition to achieve personal development and experiences through CPD
- High standards of golf course preparation and set up with attention to detail
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of agronomy & greenkeeping principles and practices
- Competent in the use and maintenance of a wide variety of machinery
- A positive and flexible approach to work which will include early mornings
- some weekends, bank holidays and attending meetings relevant to the course
- Fully competent in monitoring and maintaining health and safety in the workplace
- A full driving licence
- Good level of fitness, reliability, and punctuality
- Previous team leader or management experience desirable, but not essential
- First-aid at work desirable but not essential but willingness to work towards it
- Mechanical knowledge and chainsaw qualifications desirable, but not essential
