**WANTED An Accommodation Manager for an Inner London Borough Council.**
**This is a temporary opportunity working within the borough's housing and regeneration division.**
Overview
- Responsibility for the management and development of all forms of temporary accommodation including repairs, voids, landlord liaison, lettings, tenancy management, income and related areas.
- Esure Health& Safety standards are met across all properties
- Manage workloads for all teams managing temporary accommodation including repairs, income, tenancy management and hostels
- Ensure the provision of quality services to tenants and the cost effective use of properties for the Council, maximising income collection.
- Manage, allocate resettlement and support services for temporary accommodation households.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with all teams within Housing Options, Finance and related services to ensure coordinated service delivery in provision of temporary accommodation to statutorily homeless households.
- Ensure Council policies and initiatives are met in the divisional business plan - annual plan objectives and targets.
- Tesponsible for the efficient management of Temporary Accommodation budgets including repairs budgets.
- Cntract monitoring for the division’s temporary accommodation contracts including repairs contracts in accordance with the Council’s standing orders and financial regulations.

What you will need to bring to this role:

- Commit to and the understanding of the Council’s equal opportunities policy, and the ability to implement the policy in relation to the duties of the post.
- Leadership skills - staff management, motivation and direction for staff across the portfolio of properties and providing tenant services for homeless households whilst ensuring full compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety for staff, tenants andproperties.
- A strong working knowledge of Housing Law relatingincluding security of tenure,management of tenanted properties and the Council's duty of care with regard to temporary accommodation for homeless households.
- Excellent communication skills -both written and verbal coupled with the ability to negotiate with landlords and agents to procure and manage suitable accommodation.
- Budget Management - understanding of rent accounting and of financial administration in the checking and payment of accounts.
- Ability to evaluate property conditions and understand the principles of property maintenance.
- Working knowledge of and ability to instigate and monitor all Health and Safety requirements in all forms of temporary accommodation.
