An exciting opportunity has become available within our business. We are looking for an experienced team leader, or an experienced transport planner looking to take the next step. You will be joining a small but busy transport office within a fast growing business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop with the business and be a direct part of it's success.

The hours for this role are 1130-2000 Monday - Friday.

The Duties include (but not limited to):

- To be first escalation point for issues, via customers, drivers and office staff.
- To complete, assist and mentor the planning team with all of the below.
- Planning routes for drivers, taking in to account load size, load weight, mileage, timings, drivers hours, congestion zones etc.
- Problem solving, this includes re-planning routes/loads at short notice.
- Communicating with drivers throughout the day, passing work to them and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Operating on the Courier Exchange platform, bidding for work, updating jobs, uploading POD’s, posting and selling work.
- Operating on the Amazon Relay platform, taking work, updating the system, reporting any issues.
- Achieve targets set by the supervisor and management team.
- Provide a very high level of customer service, in order to build relationships with drivers, internal and external customers.
- Out of hours on call, on a rota basis (Paid extra).
- Unloading and loading vehicles occasionally - Forklift licence training will be provided.
- General office duties.

- The ability to multi-task.
- Good IT skills (Excel spreadsheet essential).
- Be flexible with start and finish times when required.

Salary : up to £29k-£30k/annum depending on experience.
