Golf Course Greenkeeper

Job Overview:
Nestled on the Bank of the River Ribble, our 116-year-old club is a hidden gem in the small town of Penwortham, Preston.

Our 18 established USGA greens contribute to a rolling parkland course of high quality, with a testing par of 69 - the course inspiring and challenging in equal measure.

We have an excellent opportunity for a senior, **qualified greenkeeper** to join our established team, who are responsible for maintaining and enhancing the condition of the golf course. This role would suit an experienced and enthusiastic individual, who is looking for a fresh challenge in an enjoyable working environment.

**Essential**:

- Previous golf course maintenance experience and a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- A strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, with a willingness to continue their professional development and work to the highest standards.
- An understanding of Health and Safety.
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.

**Preferred**:

- PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying licenses.
- C30 Chainsaw licence.
- Working knowledge of golf course machinery, including tractor implements, with ability to fault find.
- Irrigation knowledge.
- A full UK driving licence.

A willingness to work as part of the weekend rota is required, including bank holidays, for which additional payment is given.
