As a HPP Compliance Trainer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective Hazardous Pipeline Procedure (HPP) safety training programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. You will be responsible for creating engaging training materials, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of the training programs.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Develop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and interactive modules, to effectively communicate safety processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Be a point of contact for other managers in the business to raise training requirements for their individual team.
- Customise training materials to meet the specific needs and requirements of different departments and job roles within the organisation.
- Deliver engaging and interactive HPP safety training sessions to employees at all levels, utilising various training methods such as classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and online learning platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with external utilities to obtain feedback on our compliance with their policies as an organisation, including joint site visits.
- Building a network of SME from across the field.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes, including system development proposals.
- Complete system compliance checks to ensure the field have taken the training onboard, including site attendance to complete safety audits on contractors to ensure compliance.
- Actively participate in investigations for non-compliance of the HPP to determine if training needs to be updated/re-briefed.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to safety training, and incorporate relevant updates into training materials and programs.
- Monitor training dates with a view to completing refresher training annually.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HPP safety-related issues, including proper use of the relevant system, policy procedures, and hazard recognition.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Operations, to ensure alignment of safety training initiatives with overall organisational goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee certifications, and generate reports as needed for compliance and audit purposes.
- Serve as a HPP safety advocate and promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organisation.

**Person specification**:

- Strong understanding of the MJ Quinn Hazardous Pipeline Procedure (HPP).
- Hold a full driving license help for a minimum of 12 months with no more than 6 points.
- Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
- Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities, with attention to detail.
- Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Have a high standard of numeracy.
- Be educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent).
- Be computer literate.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Can prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
- DBS check to be completed prior to start date.
- A legal right to work in the UK.

**Experience**:

- Experience within the Utilities sector (preferred)
- An understanding of the MJ Quinn Hazardous Pipeline Procedure (HPP). (preferred)
