Senior Buyer

Do you have significant procurement experience working in a manufacturing environment? Nine Twenty are looking for an ambitious procurement professional to join our client on a permanent basis.

**The Role**
- Continually engage with internal stakeholders to understand the changing needs of each commodity
- Develop a purchasing strategy and ensure contracts are fit for purpose.
- Supplier management including sourcing new suppliers
- Manage vendor performance by way of regular meetings with all necessary stakeholders.
- Implement new procurement processes and continually looking at areas for improvement
- Investigating all options/ sources of supply considering logístical complexities ensuring continuity of supply

**We are looking for someone has the following experience/skills**:

- Strong procurement knowledge gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships throughout the business.
- Have an approachable and personable disposition and a can do, hands on attitude.
- Team player with ability to work cross functionally for benefit of whole business.
- Good listener and communicator
- Commercially aware with good negotiation skills
- Able to identify problems and propose and own (if appropriate) solutions
- Keen interest in continual improvements & processes across entire business in which procurement involved in.
