Bank Principal Clinical Psychologist

Inverness, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 8b bank Principal Clinical Psychologist to work within our Neuropsychology Service. We are a dynamic newly established team and you will take a lead role in service development, working as part of our team but also autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of local and Board policies and procedures. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and forward-thinking individual to join the service. You will play a vital leadership role in the development of the new services, putting patients and their families at the heart of service delivery.

Our team provides specialist Clinical Neuropsychology services to adults within Neurology and Neurorehabilitation services living within the North Highland Health and Social Care Partnership region. We work across all sectors of neuropsychology service provision. As part of our team you will provide highly specialist neuropsychological assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, advice and consultation on neuropsychological care; involving inpatient and outpatient, remote and clinic-based, individual and group clinical care. You will support the Head of Neuropsychology in strategic development of services across acute and rehabilitation pathways.

The Psychology Directorate within NHS Highland is a supportive, dynamic and developing department, providing services across the region. The nature of the healthboard area requires us to be innovative and continually adapting to change. Supportive and robust professional guidance, clinical supervision and line management are provided. The neuropsychology service has strong working links with the West of Scotland Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters training programmes; including opportunities for teaching, supervision of trainees, and research. There are excellent opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), leadership development, research, teaching, supervision, and training other professionals.

**Informal enquiries and visits are welcome. Please contact Dr Ruth Sumpter, Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Head of Neuropsychology.**
**Telephone: 01463 704511**

**DO NOT upload a CV as this will not be used for short listing purposes.
