An Exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled Support Time Recovery Worker who wants to be part of an exciting, developing service to provide rehabilitation to adults with mental health needs (primarily psychosis) accessing our residential rehab unit and community rehabilitation services.

This 24-hour community based service offers supported living for those moving forward with their recovery journey. The successful applicant will need to work to a rota, which will include some evenings, weekends and night shifts. Due to the nature of the service, lone working will be required.

This is a part time post, 30 hours per week, that will involve providing support and therapeutic time alongside promoting independence to re-establish the person’s place in the community.

The post holder will be given a full induction, regular supervision and personal development reviews with opportunities to work in other areas of the rehabilitation service to gain experience and development. The service follows the philosophy of all contributions matter and as such the post holder will have opportunities to attend the weekly multi-disciplinary meetings offering further learning opportunities.

The successful applicant will provide Support; give Time to an allocated group of service users with more complex needs and thus promote their Recovery. You will work with our 8 residents within our rehabilitation unit at Hilda Johnson House, as well as within our local community. You will also support individuals in their onwards journey in to the community. You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation with an appreciation and understanding of the concept of person centred recovery. Experience of working in mental health is desirable. The team have an extended range of multi-disciplinary members including consultant, senior nurses, psychologist, social workers, Support Time and Recovery workers, healthcare support workers and Occupational Therapists.

The purpose of this post is to work as part of a team which provides mental health rehabilitation services and to focus on the direct needs of service users, working across boundaries of care, organisation, and role, co-ordinated through the Care Programme Approach/Care Management process.

To be part of the team providing 7 day 24hr cover to Hilda Johnson House supported living facility, at times undertaking loan working to support service users residing at the unit and within the community.

To provide Support, give Time to an allocated group of service users with more complex needs and thus promote their Recovery and maintain them in their community environment.

To assist Care Co-ordinator or key worker to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans.

To achieve the objectives of this role, the post holder must have the individual service user’s needs at the fore at all times and use the agreed set of values and skills to underpin their day to day work.
