Post Title: Finance & Admin Officer

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week.

**Salary**: £28000 per annum

This job description is intended as a working document only, giving a guideline to the major tasks to be performed.

It is anticipated that the post will develop as working practices change in order to meet the demands of the business, new legislation or policies.

It is expected that the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development of the business and associated functions.

**Job Summary**

Responsible for the overall financial and payroll administration of the Community Interest Company, ensuring accurate and up-to-date accounting, management of all payroll associated functions and reporting of the company’s financial position.

To assist the Operational Manager and The Board, as required in, supporting the ongoing development of the Company and delivery of its’ work.

To provide general administration support and undertake other reasonable duties required to support the development and delivery of business.

**Main Responsibilities**

Finance & Administration

To oversee administrative management of funds within the control of the Company and ensure appropriate procedures and employee training in the same

To support the preparation of budgets and advise management and the Board of projected and forecast positions against committed delivery programmes

To advise on appropriate reserves to address any financial responsibilities of the company e.g. insurances, funds held on account, employee costs

To fully administer all creditor and debtor accounts, ensuring supplier payments are made accurately and promptly and all debtor accounts are paid promptly

To manage and undertake regular budget monitoring, reconciliation and checks in relation to any petty cash floats, company cards or online account transactions

To manage online banking and financial management systems, ensuring all transactions are input, including budget sheet uploads, on appropriate systems

To produce regular financial reports and present the same to the Board

To undertake all year end processes and liaise with the external Auditor to achieve fully agreed and signed audited sets of accounts

To ensure annual accounts and all required returns e.g. the Community Interest Company report CIC34, are filed to Companies House

Payroll, Pensions and Administration

To set up any new employees and monitor employee contract terms, ensuring appropriate administration e.g. end of temporary contract notices to employees

To oversee the administration of payroll and pensions, ensuring appropriate procedures, policies and legislation have been followed e.g. overtime, sick pay, maternity

To oversee the administration and running of monthly payroll, maintaining payroll journals and the administration and completion of all pay related documentation including payslips, P60’s, P45’s etc

To ensure all required HMRC employer payment returns are uploaded and paid

To ensure pension agreements and associated actions are completed on QuickBooks

To oversee appropriate enrolment, worker set up, returns and payments are made to Nest Workplace Pension scheme and Pensions Regulator as required

To support the Operational Manager and Board with any financial or administrative duties as may be required

To undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate to the salary

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
