Apprentice/trainee Draughtsperson

**NUSTEEL STRUCTURES LIMITED** are specialists in the design, fabrication and erection of footbridges, sign gantries and road bridges. Due to our continuing success, we are currently seeking applicants for the following permanent positions at our premises in Lympne, Hythe, Kent:
**APPRENTICE DRAUGHTSPERSON/AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN**: We require a school or college leaver to fill this exciting opportunity to join our busy drawing office. As an apprentice Technician you will learn how to produce fabrication drawings that skilled fabricators will use to make steel structures. As your apprenticeship progresses you will learn other skills including site surveying and project management. You will work towards a formal qualification on day release basis in partnership with Canterbury College. All apprentices are mentored by experienced personnel during their training.

This position will lead to full Apprenticeship qualification.

**Required Qualifications for an Apprenticeship**:
Maths & English GCSE Grade 4 (old C) or above. IT Skills (Word and Excel) CAD experience helpful but all CAD training will be included as part of the apprenticeship.

**TRAINEE DRAUGHTSPERSON/AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN**: We require an individual with some previous experience in a similar role or same sector. In-house training will be available for people with a varied experience but in this situation previous CAD experience would be ideal. As a Trainee Technician you will work within a team to produce fabrication drawings that skilled fabricators will use to make steel structures. As you progress, this role will include project management aspects including speaking with clients.

**Salary**
Starting salary depending on experience
Holiday: 22 days rising to 26 days a year + Bank Holidays.
