General Farm Worker

We are seeking an individual to join our friendly team on a permanent full-time basis.

**Main Duties will include**:
- Support the day to day management, welfare and husbandry of all the livestock on the farm.
- Assist with the keeping of digital farm records for livestock breeding, deaths, movements, grazing records, medicine treatments and certification body record-keeping etc.
- Follow a Holistic Grazing Plan
- Weigh, select and haul livestock to the abattoir.
- Support our farm retail enterprise with the collecting of meat from the butchers and packing it away in the freezers. During busy times to assist with the preparing of customer orders.
- Work with and train our farm volunteers to be able to assist you in your role
- Keep all agricultural sheds, buildings, yards and workshops tidy and well presented
- Assist with the cleaning, maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment
- Maintain/repair and install fencing and gates.
- Cutting small trees/grass/scrub on lawns, verges, and boundaries.
- Assist with other general maintenance on the farm
- Any other general farm duties as and when required
**Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities**
- Proven experience of working with livestock (preferred)
- A recognised farming qualification (preferred)
- A passion for organic and regenerative food and farming (essential)
- Experienced in the use of farm machinery and equipment (preferred)
- Possess a full valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Possess a trailer license (preferred)

- Has a good eye for detail and efficiency.

Working hours will average 40 hours per week. These hours will be organised according to a rota which The Company will notify you in advance. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, including a 30-minute morning break and one hour for lunch, and Saturday or Sunday from 08:00 to 10:30.

**Salary**: £8.60-£12.00 per hour
