**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process and Scale Up Engineer (Graduate/Entry Level) to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as TIGI, VO5 and Impulse, to be based at our client's prestigious facility in LiverpoolScience Park (will involve a mix of working from home and working from the office).**

**This is a full time, temporary role to last for 6 months, paying between £26,956 - £30,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.**

The Process Scale Up Engineer will work closely with all internal experts (R&D, Marketing, Supply Management, Supply Chain) and external suppliers to cover all aspects of the technical delivery of projects through process manufacturing design and execution.

The role will be mostly computer based with some time in the lab and the salon.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Support processing workstream across all Elida beauty products
- Support R&D initiatives of innovation, quality, cost savings, complexity reduction and sustainability by design
- Work as part of the project team to coordinate and deliver all elements of process development and scale up through 3Ps and suppliers, in addition to internal confirmatory testing and analysis
- Identify new processing opportunities to deliver to consumer, customer and business needs - including, but not limited to, new and more sustainable product solutions and cost savings
- Lead/support technical delivery of projects through process manufacturing design and execution.
- Lead the implementation of projects in 3PM's based on design specification ensuring compliance with:

- Consumer Safety Framework and relevant GMP and regulatory needs
- Functional Excellence
- Internal procedures and documentation standards
- Lead design and validation of processes in 3PM pilot plants
- Support quality investigations using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques as required for existing and new products
- Support cost savings (VIP) initiatives and supply chain efficiency projects including assessment of feasibility of new ideas and troubleshooting activities where processing knowledge is essential
- To support with technical information in case of need to protect processing technology/formulation IP
- Identify and bring to the organisation new business opportunities through novel processing techniques. Must include, but not limited to, sustainability game changers.
- Lead input of processing related perspective to x-functional teams - ensuring risks are identified, understood and mitigated. Ensure timings and expectations of processing related activities are ambitious and correctly recognised within project plans.
- Manage and lead technical relationships with 3PMs to deliver products as designed and fully qualified. Maintain necessary intellectual property rights of all parties.

**Key Requirements**
- Demonstrated strong aptitude for process development, with track record of delivery. Formal scientific degree (Chemical Engineering or similar) preferred.
- Background in Industrial chemistry or Process or Chemical engineering or else relevant work experience
- A creative, logical and analytical mind to generate innovative solutions to technical problems
- You will need to be self-motivated with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate design and engineering principles to people at all levels of the business, across different functions.
