**The position**:
We are looking for invigilators to help administer IELTS English language exams, typically on Saturdays or Sundays at our Torquay test venue. It is a busy environment and can be a stressful day for our test takers, so this role will suit people who are calm and approachable, with a good sense of humour.

This role would suit someone looking for flexible part time weekend work. On average, invigilators work around 2-3 days each month.

Invigilators report to a Chief Invigilator, who coordinates the test on the day.

**Job description**:

- Preparing the room, i.e. putting up clocks, start and finish time notices, seating plans.
- Registering test-takers as they arrive.
- Admitting test-takers to the exam room in a quiet and orderly way.
- Conducting the exam according to the regulations of the exam provider
- Being constantly vigilant to ensure exam regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Returning all confidential materials to the Exams Officer at the end of the test.
- Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of our test takers.

**Person specification**:

- Good command of the English language.
- IT literate and a good eye for detail.
- Great customer service skills.
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Punctual and reliable.

- Payments are made a month in arrears, provided you submit a timesheet by the 28th of each month. The rate of pay per hour is £11.21 per hour.
