**Sales Engineer - UK Based (Hastings HQ) - Specialist Equipment Manufacturer**

**Are you an experienced Sales Engineer with 3+ years sales experience or a degree qualified Engineer within the Aviation, Utilities or Industrial engineering sector interested in moving into a more sales based role?**

**Do you have a full UK Driving Licence?Are you willing to travel excessively to meet clients and potential clients around the UK and sometimes overseas? (at least 50% travel expected)**

**Do you have experience within the engineering sector of taking tender opportunities from RFI through PQQ to full tender award?**

**Would you like the opportunity to work for a specialist equipment manufacturer with a fantastic future order book and some amazing pipeline in the works?**

Our Hastings based client have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to realise opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle including targeting, prospecting and presenting compelling business propositions. The role requires an experiencedprofessional salesperson with a strong mindset, willing to travel extensively as needed, including overseas. This role will report to the Managing Director, whilst also working closely with the Internal Sales Team and the well-established Aerospace TechnicalSales Manager.

**What you Need...**

Sales Engineering Experience 3+ Years OR Engineering Background holding a qualification (Degree Preferred) wanting to go into sales

Full UK Driving Licence

Willingness to travel regularly, including overseas

**Job Description...**
- Creating strategic and tactical plans to successfully reach new business opportunities
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
- Building relationships with new clients, leading to a sustainable sales revenue stream
- Cooperating with the Sales Team in maintaining relationships with current clients
- Preparing client presentations e.g., PowerPoints, Brochures and Website content
- Taking tender opportunities from RFI through PQQ to full tender award
- Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients including exhibition work
- Developing a strong understanding of Company products, competitors and positioning
- Collaborating with design and sales teams to ensure that requirements are met
- Working with Senior Managers to manage risks and grow profitable sales revenues
