MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General reception duties. Operate switchboard. Administration of repeat prescriptions. Updating and maintaining clinical & computer records.

General office duties. Any other delegated duties considered appropriate to the position. Work strictly to the Reception Team Rota to ensure that we have enough receptionists on duty at any one time SPECIFIC TASKS Greet patients and help with their enquiries. Make appointments.

Take messages and process these efficiently and accurately. Process repeat prescription requests. Input data onto the computer system as required. Assemble and file patients notes.

Open & close Practice premises. Record home visits requests. Transfer telephones for out of hours cover. Process requests for medical reports and copies of patient records.

Work effectively in a team Interact with patients and colleagues in a professional manner
