We are looking for a Lead L&D Advisor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of our learning and development programs and ensuring that they meet the business objectives. You will work with the Head of L&D and our team of assessors and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in our learning initiatives. You must have a deep understanding of learning and development principles, exceptional assessment skills, and strong leadership capabilities.

The primary emphasis of this role will be on our Fibre department, providing support to employees at all levels and with varying skillsets, to develop, implement, and deliver training programs that are current, applicable, and in line with industry standards.
- **What will you be doing?**_

As a Lead L&D Advisor, your core responsibilities will be
- A solid understanding of the training life cycle, to build, deliver and evaluate all training programmes delivered in the business.
- Lead Assessor Role: Assume the role of the lead assessor, responsible for coordinating and conducting assessments across various learning programs. Take the lead for the Fibre division, working with the senior leadership team to ensure we have the right training programmes in place with the correct modules which are bespoke to our work activity to ensure we have a competent workforce
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of assessors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Assessment Design: Design assessment frameworks, tools, and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, ensuring alignment with desired learning outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure the consistency, fairness, and accuracy of assessments.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing learning experiences based on assessment results, feedback, and industry trends.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for assessors and facilitators to enhance their assessment skills and knowledge.
- Compliance and Standards: Stay up to date with relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring that assessment practices align with the awarding body regulations
- Training Infrastructure: Verify that the training centre facilities and infrastructure meet the standards and criteria set by the awarding body, ensuring they are adequately equipped to deliver training and assessments that meet the expectations of our clients.
- **Skills and Qualifications**_
- A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in Learning & Development
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent track record in developing and executing successful training programmes
- Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
- Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of the assessment process to the expectations of an external awarding body
- NVQ Level 3 Training Assessor
- NVQ Level 4 IQA - (desirable)
- Lead Assessor (BTOR Network)
