An exciting opportunity has become available for a Head of Religion and Ethics at Thornhill Community Academy.

We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified, motivated and ambitious leader with the highest personal and academic standards to lead our RE Department. We are looking for someone who is an outstanding practitioner, with high expectations and a record of achieving the best outcomes from their students. The Head of RE should be a leader with drive, energy and a passion for RE, and someone who has the vision and determination to lead the RE Department to ensure all our students achieve their personal best.

**You will be**:

- An effective classroom practitioner with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating students
- Experienced in implementing departmental school strategies
- A specialist RE teacher with the ability to teach GCSE level
- Able to plan for success and evaluate progress and outcomes
- Be able to lead, coach, inspire and enthuse colleagues effectively
- Able to coach, inspire and enthuse students effectively
- Passionate about child-centred educational principles
