Prospecting Sales Advisor

_**Role Outline**:_
Green-tech is the UKs largest landscaping supplier, providing quality landscaping materials and wholesale garden supplies for landscaping contractors, architects, designers and landowners.
The role of construction sales advisor involves managing a portfolio of low or none spending construction accounts within our database. You will be responsible for building this database through; regular contact, looking for quotation opportunities, following these up and maximising opportunities from these accounts. You will work with our two construction account managers to develop your knowledge and work with your sales manager to monitor progress and mentor you as you start to build relationships with customers.
There will be an expectation to understand BNG and how this can benefit the construction industry with the option also to attend trade shows and face to face visits.
As a secondary role to this, you will assist with the day to day running of our Flexible Lining side of the business, advising on pond liners, clay mat liners and ground reinforcement products directly to end users and new construction companies.
This is an entry level role, allowing for personal development and building a database of your own
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and Expand Database: Oversee the construction account database and proactively identify new construction companies for potential partnerships.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the specifier team on TreeParker projects and qualify potential leads through Barbour ABI.
- Pursue Opportunities: Actively seek BNG opportunities and represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
- Customer Focus: Maintain a high level of customer focus, build excellent relationships, attend regular customer meetings, and ensure regular account contact.
- Profitability and Accuracy: Ensure maximum profitability with regular price reviews, accurate quotes and orders, and thorough stock checks.
- Training and Development: Look for training opportunities to enhance skills and understand the company's vision and strategic aims.
- Sales Process Adherence: Contribute to monthly sales updates, keep sales quotations current, follow processes for logging issues, complaints, and lost sales, and adhere to the agreed sign-off procedure.
- System Management: Keep SAP up to date and follow established processes to ensure smooth operations.
