Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large partnership school based in Risca. We are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable educator who is passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs. The role will entail supportinga pupil in Year 2 who needs support with their social and emotional development. We are looking for an educator who is reliable, nurturing and has a calm manner.

**What will the role involve?
- Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis
- Providing social and emotional support to the specific pupil
- Motivating and ensuring the pupil is trying to achieve above target levels
- Supporting the pupil throughout all areas of the curriculum
- Adhering to safeguarding procedures
- Leading interventions such as guided reading, numeracy, and literacy support
- Supporting the class teacher with implementing targets for the pupil whilst ensuring the pupils needs are adhered to
- Managing positive classroom behaviour

The school is in the centre of Risca and is easily accessible via public transport. The school has a strong support team who will support you through all elements of the role. The headteacher has an open-door policy where no question is too much and adviceand support is always given.

For this role, school-based experience is not essential. The pupil gravitates well to someone who has an interest in sports and drama. Additionally, we have found that those from a care background have worked extremely well.

**Essential Requirements
- Child only DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council
- 2 Professional based references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
