**Job description**
- **Position**:Pump Engineer
- **Location**:Runcorn

**The Role**
We are looking for an experienced Pump Engineer to join our small team based in Runcorn where you will be responsible for the assembly and repair of pumps and ensuring the workshop is run smoothly. You will be required to travel to client sites to carry-outpump repairs and will have use of a company van.
**About you**
It is essential that you have previous experience of working in a pump manufacturing role, have excellent technical knowledge of the workings of pumps and understand production procedures.
**What you will be doing**:

- Engineering responsibilities: _
- Primarily responsible for the assembly, servicing and repair of pumps
- Ensuring downtime of machinery is mínimal and ensure repairs and builds are completed on time
- Attending client sites to carryout repairs
- Producing technical reports on servicing and repairs
- Building trusted relationships with clients
- Workshop responsibilities:_
- Oversee the efficient running of the workshop
- Quality checking and testing equipment
- Ensuring that production is run smoothly and efficiently
- Ensure stock is checked and maintained at all times
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy at all times and goods are checked in and stored in a timely manner
- Be able to work on own initiative and under mínimal supervision, able to make informed decisions and demonstrate leadership skills
- Always adhering to H&S requirements

**What you'll need**
- Previous experience in pump engineering
- Demonstrate leadership skills and have a desire to progress with the company
- Meticulous attention to details
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion to find solutions
- Be able to read, understand and work to technical drawings
- Knowledge of quality and production procedures
- The ability to multitask, manage workload and prioritise
- A flexible approach and a positive attitude
